Obituary for Ronald Brightman, III
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald F. Brightman III. Ron, born to Lois and Ronald Brightman, is survived by his brother, Rick Brightman along with his niece Lindsay Brightman (husband Christophe) and nephew Ryan Brightman (wife Danielle and daughter Jade).
He was a loving father to his three daughters: Holly Clifford (husband Charlie, daughter Quinn and son Noah), Sarah Van Deusen (husband Tim, daughter Grace and son Rowan), and Emily Turner (husband Jeremy and daughters Piper and Harper). Ron cherished his family and created countless memories with them, especially during their time spent at the family cabin on Goose Pond in the Berkshires. Fishing and catching crawdads were among their favorite activities, and these moments will forever be treasured.
Ron had a life-long passion for aviation having received an honorable discharge from the United States Air Force and having dedicated the last 18 years of his life to Lyon Aviation in Pittsfield. He formed strong bonds with his colleagues, who became like a second family to him. The Lyon family will forever cherish the memories shared with him.
Private services will be held to honor Ron Brightman's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation here, in memory of Ron Brightman.
