Obituary for Roger Allen Clark

Roger Allen Clark, 85, of Pittsfield, passed away December 24, 2022, at his home surrounded by his children.
Born in North Adams, MA, on April 27, 1937, to Charles and June Wright Clark.
He was a graduate of Drury High School class of 1957, where he lettered as pitcher of the varsity baseball team. Mr. Clark also served in the US Army initially as an MP and finished his enlistment as a baseball player for the Army. He continued to play baseball throughout his life. In his spare time, he was also an avid woodworker.
Mr. Clark held occupations as landscaper, auto mechanic, and was subsequently employed at General Electric Co where he retired as an equipment engineer. After retirement, his favorite occupation was tending to the many children, as beloved school crossing guard for Conte Elementary.
Roger married Janet Rose Williamson on April 19, 1962. After 59 years of marriage, she predeceased him on September 14, 2021.
Mr. Clark is survived by his brother, Kent “Skip” Clark. His children; Darnell Clark and wife Robin of Tampa FL, Robin Alexander and husband Barry of Pittsfield, and Kelly Clark Quadrozzi and husband Steven of Pittsfield. As well as seven grandchildren; Shayla, Ashley, Destiney, Robert, D’Amber, Raylen, Rhia, seven great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Danny, Roy, and Charles Clark and sisters Carrie Todd and Thelka Robinson and granddaughter Tricia, daughter of Darnell.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours will be held, Thursday, January 5, 2023 from 4 to 7 pm at DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to the Dementia Society in care of the funeral home.
