Obituary for Rockland C. Blake Sr.

Rockland C. Blake Sr., 58, formerly of Briggs Avenue died Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Berkshire Medical Center. Born on February 6, 1956 in Pittsfield, he was a son of the late William and Fern Stroup Blake. He was educated in Pittsfield schools and had resided in Pittsfield for many years. He also resided in Dalton at one time. He was employed for several years as a cabulance driver for American Medical Response and as a delivery driver for C.T. Brigham of Pittsfield.
He was a former member of St. Stephen Episcopal Church. He enjoyed fishing and building models. He was also an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox. He leaves a son; Rockland C. Blake Jr. of
Missouri. Two brothers; Robert R. Blake and his wife Hope of Dalton and Edward R. Blake and his wife Dianne of Pittsfield. Three sisters; Gloria Lacy of Michigan, Lynn Mahoney and her husband John of Pittsfield and Candace Dupratt and her husband Robert of Michigan. He was predeceased by two brothers; William and Bruce Blake.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A graveside service for Rockland C. Blake Sr., 58, who died April 12, 2014, will be held Tuesday at 10:30 AM at Village Cemetery in West Stockbridge conducted by Pastor Sigmund Sadzinski. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations in memory of Rockland may be made to the Denise Kaley Fund for Berkshire County women with cancer in care of the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, MA 01201 which is handling arrangements.
