Obituary for Robert E. Richardson

ROBERT E. RICHARDSON, 83, of 3 Hill Road, Peru, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2011, at Calvin Coolidge Rehabilitation Center in Northampton.
Born in Springfield on August 16, 1927, the son of Robert H. and Anne Ernst
Richardson, he was a graduate of Springfield schools. A World War II veteran, he served as a Corporal with the United States Army from September 5, 1946, until being honorably discharged on February 11, 1948. He
Was a member of the Dalton American Legion.
Mr. Richardson owned his own auto repair business until 1985 at which time
he closed shop and went to work for his son at Maintenance Man, Inc., in Hinsdale,
as head mechanic until his retirement in 1993.
Mr. Richardson leaves two sons, Gordon Richardson and his wife, Judith, of Hinsdale, and Michael Richardson of South Hadley; two daughters, Nancy Richardson of South Carolina, and Judy Richardson of Springfield; three granddaughters and three
grandsons; and one great grandchild; as well as two sisters, Barbara Vogel of Spring-
field and Dorothy Crosby in West Springfield.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for ROBERT E. RICHARDSON will be private. The DERY-
FOLEY FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
