Obituary for Robert L. Mcgrew

ROBERT LESLIE McGREW, 85, OF 365 South Washington State Road,Washington, died Tuesday evening at Springside of Pittsfield, where he had resided the past three weeks.
Born in Twisp, Washington, September 11, 1922, the son of Thomas A. and
Iva May Matson McGrew, he was educated in Cashmere and Twisp, Washington, schools, he was a 1950 graduate of the University of Washington where he earned a bachelor of science degree in mathematics. Mr. McGrew was a self-employed carpenter for many years, retiring in 2004.
He was a member of Grace Church, Congregational, in Pittsfield. He enjoyed
gardening, woodworking, and playing cards.
His wife, the former Donna Reich, whom he married July 26, 1946, died April
11. 2001. Mr. McGrew leaves a son, Marc T. McGrew, of Meriden, Connecticut; four
daughters, Vicki L. Porticelli of Port Chester, New York, Robin L. Oliver of the Town
of Washington, Margo Y. Sajban of Lafayette, Colorado, and Cari C. Cook of
Longmont, Colorado; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service for ROBERT L. McGREW, who died Tuesday, October 16,
will be held Saturday, October 27, at 4:00 p.m., at DERY FUNERAL HOME, with Rev.
Thomas Bridgman, Pastor of Grace Church, Congregational, officiating. There are no
calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. McGrew may be made
to the Alzheimer's Association in care of the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pitts-
field.
