Obituary for Robert M. Leach

RONALD MURRAY LEACH, 69, of 65 Clydesdale Drive, Pittsfield, died Wednesday morning at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Camden, Maine, September 16, 1937, the son of Lawrence and Isabelle
Johnson Leach, he attended schools in Camden and was a 1955 graduate of Bellingham
High School in Bellingham, Massachusetts.
He had served in the United States Army.
Mr. Leach was employed by United Parcel Service for 35 years retiring in
1995 as Customer Service Representative.
Mr. Leach was an active supporter of Youth Hockey both for the Pittsfield Boys and Girls Club and also served as Chairman of the Board for the Gib Kittredge Hockey Tournaments.
He was a member of the Skyline Country Club where he enjoyed playing golf. He coached Miner League Baseball for many years and played softball for the City League for many years, and also enjoyed traveling. Mr. Leach leaves his wife, the former Patricia A. Genoa, whom he married
June 4, 1960 in St. Mary's Church in Franklin, Massachusetts.Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Steven J. Leach of Pittsfield, and four
grandchildren. Another son, Gary M. Leach, died August 2, 1981.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for RONALD MURRAY LEACH, who died Wednesday, May
16, will be Saturday, May 19, at 10:00 a.m., at DERY FUNERAL HOME, with Rev. William D. Furey, Pastor of Berkshire Union Chapel, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the Dery Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Leach may be made to the Berkshire Medical Center Wound Clinic. Mr. Leach leaves his four grandchildren, Shaun Leach, Gary Leach, Kayla
Leach, and Morganne Foley. He was also pre-deceased by a brother, Lawrence Leach.
