Obituary for Robert F. Gagnon

ROBERT FRANCIS GAGNON, 86, of 103 Ore Bed Road, Lanesborough, passed away peacefully at Berkshire Medical Center on March 16, 2011.
Born in Northampton on July 18, 1942, he was the son of Marion Freitag
Gagnon and the late Oliver E. Gagnon of Florence.
Bob was a 1961 graduate of Northampton High School and a long time
employee of the Pittsfield Stop & Shop until his retirement in 2006.
He is survived by his mother, Marion, of Florence; a sister, Gail Adametz and
her husband, Wolfgang, of Florence; two sons, Robert, Jr., and his wife, Michelle, of
Pittsfield, and Shane of Great Barrington; his life companion, Donna Britigan; a step-
daughter, Dina Catlin; four grandchildren, Nicholas, Michael, Robert, Patrick; a niece,
Erica; and two nephews, Steven and Kurt; and extended family members, Danielle Brennan and Ruth Durant. He was pre-deceased by a brother, James, in 2004.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours will be Sunday, March 20, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., at DERY
FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may
be made payable to Robert F. Gagnon, Jr. Monies will be going to several choices,
including Pittsfield High Athletics and Pittsfield South Little League. Bob always
enjoyed watching his grandchildren play their sports.
