Obituary for Robert "Michael" Daly
Robert "Michael" Daly, 58, of 1 ½ Montgomery Place, Pittsfield, died
Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Worcester on October 26, 1954, a son of Flora E. Caffrey Daly and the late Robert L. Daly, he was a 1972 graduate of St. Joseph Central High School.
Mr. Daly was worked as a taxicab driver in Pittsfield. Prior to that, he had been employed by ConRail and General Electric Company. Throughout that time, he also worked as a mold and tool polisher.
Mr. Daly was a woodsman who loved the outdoors. He enjoyed animals. He also
enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
Besides his mother of Pittsfield, Mr. Daly leaves four sisters, Pauline (Joseph)
Scalise of Pittsfield, Diane (Kent) Yeargin of Galt, Calif., Robin Daly (fiance, Earl Kirchner) of Pittsfield, and Teresa (Kevin) Maher of Pittsfield; a brother, Richard (Cassie) Daly of Pittsfield; several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews, as well as an aunt, two uncles, and numerous cousins.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Robert "Michael" Daly will be held Sunday, January 27, at
7:00 p.m., at DERY FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Daniel B. Brunton officiating. Calling
hours will precede the service beginning at 6:00. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Berkshire Humane Society in care of the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
