Obituary for Robert E. Beauchemin

ROBERT EDWARD BEAUCHEMIN, 88, of 48 Edgemere Road, Dalton, died Tuesday, April 22, at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield, November 1, 1919, a son of Albert and Ruth Belcher
Beauchemin, he was educated in Pittsfield schools and attended Pittsfield High
School. A World War II veteran, he served with the United States Army Air Corps from
November 4, 1942 to January 8, 1946, having earned the rank of Staff Sergeant.
Mr. Beaucheim was employed by General Electric Company as a tool designer for 42 years retiring in 1982. He was a communicant of St. Agnes Church. He was a member of the General Electric Quarter Century and Pensioners Clubs, and a member of the Wahconah Country Club. He was avid golfer. Mr. Beauchemin's wife, the former Pauline A. "Polly" Hart, whom he married May 5, 1945, in Notre Dame Church in Pittsfield, died January 1, 2007.
He leaves his brother, Kenneth A. Beauchemin of Pittsfield; a sister, Marie Paladino of Lenox; and many nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for ROBERT E. BEAUCHEMIN, who died April 22, will be Friday, April 25, at 9:15 a.m., from DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., at St. Agnes Church, celebrated by Rev. Christopher A. Malatesta, Pastor. Burial will follow in Ashuelot Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Beauchemin may be made to St. Agnes Church in care of the Funeral Home, 890 East Main Street, Dalton.
