Obituary for Robert Barry

ROBERT BARRY, 72, of 145 Skyline Trail, Middlefield, died Saturday morning
at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in East Longmeadow, October 1, 1934, a son of Francis and Elizabeth
Roach Barry, he attended schools in East Longmeadow. He served in the United States Army from February to November 1957.
Mr. Barry was employed as a papermaker for the Westfield River Paper Company
for fourteen years retiring in 1980. He had previously worked at Byron Fish Company in
grain building and at Barry's Mink Farm in Hamden, Massachusetts.
He attended the Pioneer Valley Assembly of God Church in Huntington. He was
an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He especially enjoyed the time he
spent with his grandchildren.
Mr. Barry leaves his wife, the former Sharon Moon whom he married September 19.1961.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Robert Barry, Jr., of Pittsfield; two
daughters, Tina Cook of Westfield and Cynthia Artioli of Middlefield; three brothers,
Francis Barry of Stafford Springs, Connecticut, Edward Barry of Massachusetts, and
William Barry of Belchertown; four sisters, Kate Ouimet of the state of Florida,
Gloria Barry of Brimfield Peggy Warner of California, and Mary Riely of California.,
and four grandsons. He was pre-deceased by a son, David Barry, and a daughter, Brenda
Barry.


FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service for ROBERT BARRY, who died Saturday, October 21, will
be Thursday, October 26, at 10:00 a.m., at the Pioneer Valley Assembly of God Church
in Huntington, with Rev. Toby Quirk, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Pine
Grove Cemetery in Middlefield. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers,
contributions in memory of Mr. Barry may be made to Pioneer Valley Assembly of God
Church, Old Chester Road, Huntington. The DERY FOLEY FUNERAL HOME in
Dalton is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Barry is also survived by his son-in-law, Scott Artiola; his daughter-in-law,
Kim Barry, and four grandsons, Ethan, Austin, Patrick, and Sean; and his dog, Sidwell.
