Obituary for Rita M. Forni
RITA M. FORNI, 93, of Middletown, Connecticut, died Sunday, September 23,
at Wadsworth Glen in Middletown.
Born in Pittsfield, July 2, 1914, the daughter of John and Mary Tassinari Forni,
she was a 1933 graduate of Pittsfield High School, trained at the former St. Luke's
Hospital as an X-ray technician.
Miss Forni lived in Middletown, Connecticut, where she worked as an X-ray
Technician at Middlesex Hospital from 1938 to 1957. She then worked for Dr. Willard
E. Buckley of Middletown from 1957 until her retirement in 1970.
She was a member of St. John Church in Middletown and the Middletown Senior
Center where she participated in many arts and crafts programs. She was also a member
of AARP and was an avid bowler and traveler.
Miss Forni is survived by two sisters, Alba Ryan and Laura Drummond, both of
Pittsfield.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service for RITA M. FORNI, who died Sunday, September 23, will
be private, with interment to be in Pittsfield Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The
DERY FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
Miss Forni is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased
by a sister Blanch.
