Obituary for Richard B. Winnard

RICHARD B. WINNARD, 65, of 667 White Mills Road, Lot 23-A, Valatie, New
York, died Sunday, March 14, at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield, February 23, 1945, a son of Walter H. Winnard, Sr., and
Blanche Robarge Winnard, he was educated in Pittsfield and California schools, and was
a 1963 graduate of Servite Catholic High School in Anaheim.
At the time of his death, Mr. Winnard was a truck driver for H.V. Rabouin Inc.
Transportation in Hancock where he had been employed since March 17, 1979. Prior to
that, he worked in maintenance for General Electric Company
Mr. Winnard was a member of the Full Gospel Tabernacle Church in Rensselaer,
New York. He was an avid New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed NFL
football, as well. He also collected coins.
Mr. Winnard leaves his wife, the former Pauline Defer, whom he married
September 15, 1984, in St. Mary's Church in Lee.
Besides his wife, Mr. Winnard is survived by a stepson, William Rathbun and his
wife, Tina, of Niverville, New York; a stepdaughter, Lisa Knott and her husband, John,
of Philmont, New York; five grandchildren, Michael, David, and Richard, whom he and
his wife raised, and Cheyanne and William; as well as three brothers, Louis Winnard of
Windsor, California, Paul Winnard of Pittsfield, and Philip Winnard of Pittsfield; three
sisters, Teresa Tanner of Pittsfield, Anne Siemer of Pittsfield, and Alma Panetti of Lenox,
Massachusetts, and twenty eight nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by three brothers, Walter H. Winnard, Jr., Leo Winnard,
and James Winnard.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for RICHARD B. WINNARD will be Saturday, March 20, at
10:00 a.m., at the Full Gospel Tabernacle Church, 487 Third Avenue Ext., Rensselaer,
N.Y. (12144) with Rev. Donny Ketzur and Pastor Dave Harrington officiating. There are
no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to his family to assist with final expenses.
