Obituary for Richard C. Kelly Jr.

Richard Charles Kelly, 43, of Circular Avenue, died Sunday, June 1, 2014, at Berkshire Medical Center. He was born in Pittsfield on November 6, 1970, the son of Richard C. Kelly Sr. and Cynthia L. Evans Kelly. He was educated in Pittsfield schools as well as Burlington, North Carolina schools.
Richard was employed as a cook/chef at O'Charlie's Restaurant in Burlington, North Carolina for three years until his return to Pittsfield in 2005. He most recently had been employed at Bennigan's (formerly on Lenox Road) and at the Berkshire Mall. He enjoyed many activities including: working out, drawing, and most importantly; he fully enjoyed life.
Richard is survived by his father: Richard C. Kellt, Sr. of Pittsfield; his mother: Cynthia L. Kelly of Greensboro, North Carolina; his two sons: Zain Kelly and Armani Kelly-Roy; his three daughters: Holly Poag, Shayla Kelly, and Aiyanah Kelly-Roy; two brothers: David J. Kelly of Pittsfield, Devin C. Kelly of Burlington, North Carolina; one sister: Sierra N. Kelly of Greensboro, North Carolina; three grandchildren: Khari, Dalilah, and Adrian; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.


FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service will be held THURSDAY, June 5, 2014 at 4:00 PM at the Polish Community Club, 58 Linden Street, Pittsfield. The DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, MA is in charge of local arrangements.
