Obituary for Richard D. Kalinowski Sr.

Richard D. Kalinowski Sr., 66, of 29 Hull Ave. died Wednesday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born on February 8, 1950 in Bridgeport, CT he was the son of Edward and Katherine Kalinowski. A longtime Pittsfield resident, he was educated in Connecticut schools. A master carpenter for many years, he owned and operated his own construction company in the Pittsfield area for many years. He retired in 2001. In his younger years he also worked as a baker at his family's bakery. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and baking. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and all of his grandchildren. He leaves his wife; Christine Collins Kalinowski of Pittsfield. Three sons; Richard D. Kalinowski Jr. and his wife Sheila of Pittsfield, Edward J. Kalinowski Sr. and his wife Trish of Pittsfield and Richard J. Kalinowski of Clearwater, FL. A daughter; Tammy A. Kalinowski and her husband Leon of Pittsfield and nine grandchildren; Mark, Joshua, Jessica, Jaimie, Joseph, Edward Jr., Courtney, Dylan and Tristan. He also leaves his six great grandchildren; Selyna, Cameron, Kaiden, Payton, Edward III and Julian as well as his dog "Zeus" and his bird "Lefty".

FUNERAL NOTICE: Services for Richard D. Kalinowski Sr. will be private. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to the DERY FUNERAL HOME to help his family with funeral expenses in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, MA 01201.
