Obituary for Richard Desautels
Richard Desautels, 68, of Pittsfield passed away November 11, 2022 at Craneville Place in Dalton.
Born in Pittsfield on November 23, 1953, he was the son of the late Gilbert and Juliette Zanetti Desautels.
He was educated in Pittsfield Schools and was a 1972 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Richard married the former Pamela J. Solak on September 22,1979.
He was employed by Berkshire Housing Authority in maintenance before his retirement.
He enjoyed metal detecting, riding his Harley and family vacations at Hampton Beach every summer. Rick loved life and people and they loved him.
Mr. Desautels is survived by his wife, Pamela Desautels of Pittsfield. Daughter, Brittany L. Desautels-Scott and husband Austin of Pittsfield. Two grandchildren, Hunter and Hadley Desautels. Daughter-in-law, Amanda Desautels of Dalton. As well as his sister, Pamela Desautels Walak and husband David of Dalton.
He was predeceased by his son, Darren Desautels on December 18, 2021.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made in his name to The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
