Obituary for Rex W. Roberts
Rex W. Roberts passed away peacefully at home Saturday, November 30th, 2019. Rex was a loving husband to Ada F (Teal) Roberts for 59 years. He was an amazing father to James (LJ), Walter, Susanne (Terry) and Douglas (Chanda). He found great joy in his grandchildren Joan, Douglas (Lindsey), Casey (Cheyenne), Katy, Jason, George & Emily. He was a proud great grandfather to Marley Mae and Lola.
Rex is predeceased by his parents Clarence & Mary Roberts and his sister Ruthy. Rex is survived by his sister Estelle Crowell and brothers Fred, Frank, David and sisters-in-law Judy and Debbie and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Rex was a hard worker but family came first. He was a volunteer fireman while living on Plum Island and truly enjoyed family time as spent in the backyard pool in Danvers, by the campfire in Ossipee and Saturday morning motorcycle rides through the NH mountains.
Many have said "I don't know anyone else like Rex. He was so kind, gracious and always willing to lend a hand"....so true!
Rex found joy in music. He was a longtime member of the Northshoremen Chorus in Beverly, MA and loved singing in his quartet, the Sea Tones.
The family will be honoring Rex with a private family gathering in January.
