Our Time...
As a fellow Marine Officer, Wild Bill and I served together in Nam with 11th Marines Reg't. He was a mentor and walking source of wisdom about the Corps and war. Having stayed in touch, I wondered why I had not heard from him recently. A voice told me to check obits and darn, Wild Bill was gone. A true professional and hard core to the max, the Captain has moved on. He joins my wife in a better place as we were very good friends. Captain Gibney, the long line of the Corps is longer now...but in better hands. I miss you Bill...the Lord has another of our finest. Our long talks around Christmas 1969 will never be forgotten.
