Obituary for Phyllis Grandbois

Phyllis Grandbois, 73, of 63 Orchard St., Pittsfield died April 7, 2017 at Berkshire Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Born in Pittsfield on February 23, 1944, she was the daughter of Herbert E. and Doris V. (Harford) Sprague. She was educated in local schools and was a graduate of Wahconah High School. Primarily a homemaker, Phyllis enjoyed spending time with and taking care of her family.
She is survived by her 3 sons; Bernard E. Goewey and his wife Michelle of Chucky, TN, Michael G. Goewey and his fiancé Amy of Pittsfield, MA and Frankie E. James of North Adams; her 2 daughters; Tawnya M. Underhill and her companion Albert McAuley of Pittsfield and Jennifer L. Hassan and her fiancé Sherman Banker Jr. of Pittsfield, her 2 brothers; Neil E. Sprague and his wife Kathy of Dalton, MA and Herbert J. Sprague and his wife Marion of Blythewood, SC., 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her son; Shawn M. Hassan.

FUNERAL NOTICE – Calling hours for Phyllis Grandbois who died April 7, 2017 will be held Monday April 10, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. at DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 BRADFORD ST., PITTSFIELD, MA, 01201. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Elizabeth Freeman Center in care of the funeral home.
