Obituary for Peter M. Krupka Sr.

Peter Michael Krupka Sr. 90, of Pittsfield died Saturday, September 13, 2014 at the home of his son, Peter M. Krupka Jr. surrounded by his loving family.
Born on January 18, 1924 in Pittsfield a son of the late Wasil and Edwina Dubiski Krupka. He attended schools in Pittsfield. He was a World War II United States Army Veteran. Mr. Krupka was last employed for the former Eaton Paper Company for 28 years as a power engineer, prior to that he had worked at the former Elmvale Worsted Company for 18 years also as a power engineer after his long working career he retired in 1986. He was a member of the American Legion and was a communicant of Saint Marks Church. He enjoyed Baseball and camping and most of all his family. His wife the former Phyllis A. Provost whom he married February 9, 1946 died October 27, 2010. He is survived by his son, Peter M. Krupka Jr. and his wife Lee Ann of Pittsfield. Five daughters, Donna M. Knight of Pittsfield, Nancy A. Wager of Pittsfield, Christine L. Taikowski and her husband Richard of Pittsfield, Deborah L. Hosier and her husband Steve of Pittsfield and Sandy J. Greathouse and her husband Steve of Las Vegas, Nevada.
19 Grandchildren, 31 Great Grandchildren and 5 Great Great Grandchildren. A son in law, Edmond Taikowski of Pittsfield, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Angelina Taikowski in 2009 and by three brothers, Michael, Eugene and Donald Krupka and by a sister Ann MacHaffie and by two sons in law, Steve Clark and Walter Knight.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 18, 2014 with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:00A.M. at Saint Marks Church, burial will follow at Saint Joseph's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorials in his memory may be made to Hospice Care in the Berkshires in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, Ma. 01201 which is handling arrangements.
