Obituary for Peter H. Frenier

Peter H. Frenier, 55, of 106 Imperial Avenue in Pittsfield died Sunday at Berkshire Medical Center after a long illness. Born on December 8, 1953 in Pittsfield he was a son of Eugene H. Frenier Sr. and Constantina "Tina" Crea Frenier of Pittsfield. A lifelong Pittsfield resident, he was educated in local schools and was 1972 graduate of Taconic High School. He was also a graduate of hairdressing school which he attended in Springfield. Peter was employed as a hairdresser for many years in Pittsfield having worked at West Branic Hair Design and Joseph on the Mall. He was also a certified nursing assistant at Edgecombe Nursing Home in Lenox at one time. He retired in 1994 due to ill health. He was a communicant of St. Agnes Church in Dalton and a member of the Pittsfield American Legion. He enjoyed working on his car and riding his motorcycle, traveling and skiing in Colorado. He also enjoyed old movies. Besides his parents of Pittsfield, he also leaves a brother; Eugene H. "Chick" Frenier Jr. and his girlfriend Laurie Griffin of Dalton. He was predeceased by his twin brother; the late Paul F. Frenier who died October 10, 1987.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Peter H. Frenier, 55, of Pittsfield who died March 22, 2009 will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM from the DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM at St. Agnes Church in Dalton celebrated by the Rev. Christopher Malatesta, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Dery Funeral Home in Pittsfield prior to the service. Memorial donations in memory of Peter may be made to Hospice Care in the Berkshires in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, MA 01201.
