Obituary for Pauline F. Maloy
Pauline Freda Tappin Maloy, 91, of Side By Side, Pittsfield, died Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Winchendon, Mass., on January 13, 1923, the daughter of Melvin B. and
Irene Bourgault Tappin, she was a 1943 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Mrs. Maloy was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Berkshire Medical Center
from where she retired in 1989. She had, at one time, worked in the Ordnance Department
at General Electric Company.
Her husband, Daniel J. Maloy, Sr., died August 24, 1987.
Mrs. Maloy is survived by four sons, William Maloy and his wife, Linda, of Westborough;
James M. Maloy and his wife, Sharon, of Pittsfield; P. Mike Maloy of Pittsfield, and David Maloy
of Pittsfield; a sister, Ruth Forsythe of Albany; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Another son, Daniel J. Maloy, Jr., pre-deceased her.
FUNERAL NOTICE:
Funeral services for Pauline Freda Tappin Maloy will be held Monday, August 18, at 1:00
p.m., at DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield with Pastor Sigmund Sadzinski officiating. Burial
will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
