Obituary for Paula T. Johnson
Paula Theresa Johnson, born in Pittsfield May 4, 1942, slipped
gracefully from this world and into the arms of Baba her beloved grandmother on
Thursday, October 22, 2015. She died at home in the care of her friends and
former colleagues of over 15 years from HospiceCare in the Berkshires. Paula
graduated from Pittsfield High School with the class of 1960. She went on to
earn her RN from Catherine Labouré School of Nursing in Dorchester, MA in 1967.
Anyone blessed by her touch in their life needs no more to be said.
She was predeceased by her parents, James M. Collins Sr. and Sophia (Homich) Collins.
She is survived by her brother, James M. Collins Jr. and his wife Carol of
Pittsfield; her husband of 46 years, Cassius N. Johnson III of Pittsfield; her
daughter Jeanne M. Johnson of Adams; her son Mark S. Johnson and his wife M.
Jeanne (Skvarla) Johnson of Virginia Beach, VA, as well as her most precious
grandchildren: Cassidy E. Matthew of Ft. Collins, CO, Chris D. Matthew of North
Adams, Lillian M. Johnson of Virginia Beach, Gabriel X. Johnson of Virginia Beach,
and Valenka Kosick of Amherst, MA. Additionally, she leaves numerous cousins,
aunts, uncles and friends (if you are wondering you are probably one of them)
and, finally, her furbaby, Louis.
Funeral Notice: Calling hours for Paula T. Johnson who died October 22, 2015 will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2015 from 2 - 4 PM at DERY FUNERAL HOME , 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, MA.
