Obituary for Patricia E. Suriner

PATRICIA E. SURINER, 78, formerly of Colonial Gardens, Pittsfield, died Wednesday morning at Providence Care Center of Lenox, after a long illness. Born in Pittsfield, July 20, 1928, a daughter of Michael R. Haley, Sr., and
Elizabeth V. Butler Haley, she was educated in Pittsfield schools and attended St. Joseph
Central High School. Mrs. Suriner had been employed by General Electric Company as a Mail Clerk in the Power Transformer Department from 1973 until her retirement in June1989.
She was a member of the Ralph C. Froio Senior Center. She enjoyed country
music, traveling, collecting frogs, and spending time with her family and friends.
Her husband, Robert L. Suriner, whom she married in 1955, died January 30,1973.
Mrs. Suriner is survived by three brothers, John L. Haley of Pittsfield, Francis
Haley of Pittsfield, and Michael R. Haley, Jr., of Conway.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for PATRICIA E. SURINER, who died Wednesday, November
15, will be Saturday, November 18, at 10:30 a.m., at DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, with Rev. Charles F. Young, Chaplain, HospiceCare in The Berkshires, officiating. Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Suriner may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires, 369 South
Street, Pittsfield, or to Adult Day Health, 33 Bradford Street, Pittsfield. Mrs. Suriner's greatest legacy was her genuine love for all who came in contact with her. She was graced with a sense of humor and trust for all. She has gone where she will be happiest and her family knows she now has the true joy and love she so
well deserves. She also leaves many nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces,
and her friend and long-time companion, Kim Bolio. She was also the beloved sister
of Richard Haley, who was killed in World War II.
