Obituary for Patricia "Patty" Ann Provenzano
Patricia “Patty” Ann Provenzano, 78 of Pittsfield, passed away October 26, 2021 at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on May 21, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Aurora Magnone Sabato.
Patty was a 1961 graduate of Pittsfield High School. She married John J. Provenzano on May 31, 1963 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. He predeceased her on March 10, 2008.
Mrs. Provenzano was a waitress for 40+ years at the Highland Restaurant. Due to illness, she ended her career there as a senior waitress in July of this year.
She enjoyed bowling, traveling to Italy, babysitting her grandchildren and shopping.
She is survived by her daughters, Marie E. Ventimiglia and husband Keith of Brimfield, MA, and Deanna M. Zurrin and husband Darin of Lenox, MA; sons, John C. Provenzano and wife Sandra of Pittsfield and Michael A. Provenzano of Pittsfield; sister, Jeanne E. McBride and husband Peter of Pittsfield. As well as seven grandchildren, Ryan, Shelsey and Jaime Provenzano, Carl and Zachary Zurrin and Nathaniel and Jeremy Ventimiglia. Two great-grandchildren Sophie Zurrin and Coryn Larocque. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be held FRIDAY, October 29, 2021 at 11 a.m. at DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours will be held, THURSDAY, October 28, 2021 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to the BMC Cancer Center in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
