Obituary for Patricia Mott

Ms. Patricia Mott, 66, formerly of Pease Farm, Rte 22, in Stephentown, NY died Saturday at Hillcrest Commons in Pittsfield where she had resided since March 25, 2005. Born in Long Island, NY on April 15, 1940, she was educated in Long Island schools where she graduated from high school in 1958. She had resided in Stephentown for five years and had also resided in Williamstown and Burlington, VT at one time. As a child she was raised in Europe while her father served as a diplomat under General Dwight D. Eisenhower after World War II. After returning to the United States, she worked as an actress, having roles in "Swimmer" starring Burt Lancaster. She also worked as a stunt driver in the Hollywood production of "Butterfield Eight" starring Elizabeth Taylor. Ms. Mott was also the first ever woman manager of a Sax's Fifth Avenue Store, having served as the manager of the Sax's Fifth Avenue in Miami Beach, FL. She was also a former vice-president for the former Peck & Peck Clothing in Manhattan and had also worked in advertising and with an executive search firm. In the 1970's she served as president of the Republican Women's Club of New York. While in the Berkshires, she was employed in advertising with Jim Heekin Associates, an advertising agency in Williamstown. From 2004 to 2005 she worked at Devonshire in Lenox before coming ill. She was an avid reader.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Patricia Mott, 66, formerly of Stephentown, NY who died January 6, 2007 will be private. There are no calling hours. Following cremation a private burial service will take place. Memorial donations in memory of Ms. Mott may be made to the charity of one's choice in care of the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201 which is in charge of arrangements.
