Obituary for Patricia Ann Marcella

Patricia Ann Marcella, 88, of 45 Pleasant Street, Dalton, died Wednesday evening, December 5,
2013, at her home.
Born in Pittsfield on March 6, 1925, a daughter of Patrick F. and Alice Kelly Londergan, she was a
graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Mrs. Marcella was a homemaker. She did, at one time, worked for Crane & Company in its
Stationery Mill.
She was a communicant of St. Agnes Church and a longtime member of the Dalton American
Legion Women's Auxiliary.
She enjoyed bingo and her cats.
Her husband, Francis A. Marcella, Sr., whom she married June 3, 1944, died May 10, 2008.
Mrs. Marcella is survived by a son, Frank A. Marcella, Jr., and his wife, Janice, of Dalton; a
daughter, Maureen F. Chadbourne and her husband, James, Sr., of Dalton; five grandchildren, Dawn
Fernandez of Dedham, Maine, and her children, Joshua MacConnach, Joseph, Fernandez and
Jason Fernandez; Robin Emery and her husband, Clayton of Prospect, Maine, and their daughter, Jessica
Chadbourne Davis and her husband, Kevin, of Buckport, Maine; James F. Chadbourne, Jr., of Buckport,
Maine, and his children Alexander and Abigail. Lara Miller of Dalton, and her children, Kate, Emily, and
Samuel; Michael Marcella and his wife, Melody, of Hinsdale, and their children, Dominic and Aria; as
well as two sisters, Barbara Thompson of Pittsfield, and Mary Alice Lovas of Maryland; several nieces
and nephews; and her longtime caregiver, Agnes Mensah.
Mrs. Marcella was pre-deceased by three sisters, Helen Rist, Rita Jacques, and Catherine
O'Brien.

FUNERAL NOTICE:
Funeral services for Patricia Ann Marcella will be held Friday, December 13, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., at St. Agnes Church, celebrated by Rev. Christopher A. Malatesta, Pastor. Burial will follow in Ashuelot Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The omission of flowers is requested; however, if friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to HospiceCare in The Berkshires in care of DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, 890 East Main Street, Dalton.
