Obituary for Patricia A. Loehr

PATRICIA A. LOEHR, 79, of 25 Stockbridge Avenue, Dalton, a longtime resident of Dalton, died Tuesday, December 1, at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield, May 25, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Aloysius and Agnes Berry Morrissey, she was educated in Pittsfield schools and was a 1948 graduate of Pittsfield High School. Mrs. Loehr was employed by the Berkshire Visiting Nurse Association
where she was a home health aide for ten years. She also did private care duty in
Dalton for three years. She retired in 1984.
She was a communicant of St. Agnes Church where she was a longtime church volunteer.
She enjoyed golf and cross country skiing and was a longtime Boston Red Sox fan.
She especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren and attending their
sporting events. Her husband, Joseph J. Loehr, whom she married June 10, 1950, in St.
Charles Church in Pittsfield, died April 7, 1988.
Mrs. Loehr is survived by three sons, Kevin J. Loehr and his wife, Michele,
of Hancock, Keith J. Loehr and his wife, Jackie of Clinton, Massachusetts, and Daniel
M. Loehr and his wife, Mary, of Dalton; a daughter, Mary Katherine Brown and her
husband, Michael, of Windsor; ten grandchildren, Monique Olinger, Ryan Loehr,
Colette Loehr, Erik Loehr, Matthew Loehr, Katlyn Loehr, Daniel Loehr, Michael Loehr,
Joseph Brown, and Jessica Vella; and two great grandchildren, Arlynn Keefner and
Preston Pierce. She was pre-deceased by a grandson, Arnie Loehr, who died June 24, 2001.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for PATRICIA A. LOEHR, who died Tuesday, December 1, 2009 will be Saturday, December 5, at 8:15 a.m. from DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME in Dalton with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m., at St. Agnes Church celebrated by Rev. Christopher A. Malatesta, Pastor. Burial will follow in Ashuelot Cemetery. Calling hours
will be Friday, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the Dery-Foley Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Loehr may be made to St. Agnes Church in
care of the Dery-Foley Funeral Home, 890 East Main Street, Dalton.
