Obituary for Patricia A. Gaudette

Patricia A. Gaudette, 73, formerly of Lenox Avenue and South Daytona, Florida died Saturday at Berkshire Medical Center. A longtime resident of Pittsfield, she had resided at Mt. Greylock Extended Care for the past year.
Born on November 28, 1939 in Pittsfield, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Helen Sadlowski Gonska. She was educated in Pittsfield schools and was a 1957 graduate of St. Joseph Central High School. She married her husband, the late Joseph A. Gaudette on February 10, 1962 at the former Notre Dame Church. He died on December 16, 2007. A homemaker, she had worked in the late 1950's at the former Engstrom Pharmacy in Pittsfield. She had also worked at Man Power at one time. She was a communicant of the former Notre Dame Church for many years and also attended Holy Family Church in her younger years. She enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her family. She also enjoyed attending her children's sporting events, painting, playing cards and doing crafts. Her family always came first. She leaves five sons: Robert J. Gaudette and his wife Kimberly Yarter of Hinsdale, Michael J. Gaudette and his wife Tina of Pittsfield, Joseph A. Gaudette and his spouse Donald Perreault of Clarksburg, MA, James L. Gaudette and his wife Tammy of Pittsfield and Scott R. Gaudette and his wife Stephanie of Pittsfield. Three daughters; Terri A. Thorne and her husband Brian of Lee, Cherri J. Cahalan and her husband William of Lee and Lisa M. Gaudette and her fiancé Michael Alkinburgh of Pittsfield. She leaves a brother; Andrew Gonska and his wife Silvana of Dalton and A sister; Phyllis Bombard and her husband Harold of Southwick, MA. Eighteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister; the late Kathy Parsons. The Gaudette family wishes to thank the staff at Mt. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Patricia A. Gaudette, 73, of Pittsfield who died November 2, 2013 will be held Wednesday at 8:15 AM from the DERY FUNERAL HOME followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM at St. Joseph Church celebrated by the Rev. Monsignor Michael Shershanovich, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4 to7 PM at the Dery Funeral Home. Memorial donations in memory of Pat may be made to the Kidney Foundation in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, MA 01201.
