Obituary for Pamela Jean Shaughnessy
Pamela Jean Shaughnessy, 61, of Dalton, passed away February 26, 2023 at Berkshire Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Brighton, MA on December 29, 1961, she was the daughter of Carole and the late Andrew Deambrose.
She married John Shaughnessy on November 10, 1980.
She worked at the Fernald School in Waltham, MA and continued working in healthcare her entire life, taking care of those who had no one else.
A communicant of St. Agnes Church, she enjoyed waterskiing, going to Lake Winnipesaukee, playing cards, always hoping to hit it big on a scratch ticket, shopping, gardening, and most of all, spending time with her family.
Pamela is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years, John Shaughnessy of Dalton. Daughter, Amy Shaughnessy and husband John Marley of Pittsfield. Son, Michael Shaughnessy and wife Ashley of Pittsfield. Her grandchildren, Elizabeth Marley, Sophia Marley, Liam Marley and Payton Shaughnessy. Siblings, the late Andrew Deambrose of Boxford, MA Liane and Rick Carrio of Boxford, MA, the late Karen Deambrose of Belmont, MA Keith and Kellie Deambrose of Wilmington, MA, Kimberly Deambrose of Boxford, MA, Kelly Peterson of Grand Lake, CO, and Michael and Christine Deambrose of Wilmington, MA. Kathy Brown of Lynn, MA William Shaughnessy of Franklin, MA, Timothy Shaughnessy of New Bedford, MA, Michael and Michelle Shaughnessy of Watertown, MA, Daniel and Carol Shaughnessy of Lynnfield, MA. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held, Monday, March 6, 2023 at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Church in Dalton, celebrated by Rev. Christopher Malatesta, Pastor. Burial will follow in Ashuelot Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Sunday, March 5, 2023 from 2 to 4 p.m. at DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, 890 E. Main St, Dalton, MA 01226.
