Obituary for Pamela l. McMullen

Pamela Louise McMullen, 59, of 76 Cromwell Avenue, Pittsfield died Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Berkshire Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Born on April 22, 1955 in Pittsfield a daughter of Jean Wilk Symanski Knybel and the late Edward Symanski. She attended schools in Pittsfield and was a 1973 graduate of Pittsfield High School. She also was a graduate of Berkshire Community College. Pamela was last employed as a receptionist at Wheeler & Taylor Insurance Company in the Stockbridge, Ma. office, prior to this she was employed for Mahoney Insurance and had worked as a waitress at Jimmy's Restaurant and Hermann Alexander's Restaurant. She was a member of the Springside Greenhouse Group, the Polish Falcons of America and was a communicant of Saint Charles Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and flower gardening and was an avid Boston Red Sox Fan. Besides her mother Jean and her husband Albert Knybel of Holyoke, Ma. She is survived by her beloved husband, Michael F. McMullen whom she married October 2, 1992 at the former Holy Family Church. Four brothers, Ronald Symanski and his wife Mary of Ballston Spa, New York, Dennis Symanski and his wife Nancy of Redwood City, California, Mark Symanski and his wife Sheri of Avon, Colorado and Gary Symanski and his wife Cathy of Pittsfield. Two sisters, Susan Symanski of Bali, Indonesia and Judy Quinto and her husband Jim of Pittsfield. Her adored four nephews and six nieces, Benjamin, Jeffrey, Thomas and Oliver, Emily, Victoria, Ava, Grace, Genevieve and Francesca. Two additional brother in laws, Peter and Paul McMullen and three additional sister in laws, Claire and Kathleen McMullen and Patricia Merchant. Three very close friends, Cookie, Marilyn and Joyce. Also by her cherished dog Troy. Pamela was predeceased by a nephew Andrew Quinto.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 9:15 a.m. from the DERY FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Charles Church, celebrated by the Rev. Peter A. Gregory, pastor. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Saint Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials in her memory may be made to the Jimmy Fund Berkshire County Chapter or to the Berkshire Medical Center Hematology-Oncology Dept. both in care of Dery Funeral Home 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, Ma. 01201.
