He was born on January 10, 1951 in Hartford, CT to the late Mary Jane Alston and Oscar Larry Ledbetter Sr. He lived most of his life in Hartford before relocating to Pittsfield MA where he worked as an Auto Mechanic. Ozzie was truly a jack of all trades mater of none, but his one true love, his passion was his music. He also attended Victory Temple Church of God and Christ as well as Second Congregational Church both in Pittsfield MA. Anytime he was invited to play and fellowship in any house of the Lord. You better believe he would show up and show out.
Ozzie was predeceased by his 2nd wife Claudette M. Roberts Ledbetter, two sisters Sandra L. Walden Ledbetter and Patricia Hazel Ledbetter, and two brothers John W. Ledbetter and Larry Ledbetter.
He leaves behind to mourn his passing his 1st wife Belinda A Ledbetter of Bloomfield, CT whom he had two children with, a daughter Jacqueline Marie Ledbetter - Gaston of Windsor, CT and three sons Michael R. Ledbetter of Manchester, CT, Joey Griffin a loving and devoted and Johnny Griffin who spent much of his time caring for Ozzie during his final days both of Pittsfield MA, three sisters Edna Ledbetter Elkie of Atlanta GA, Sylvia Ledbetter of Hartford, CT and Ruth Smith of Philadelphia, PA.
