Obituary for Nancy L. Wechter

Nancy Lynn Wechter, 71 of Richmond, passed away January 31, 2023 at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on July 20, 1951 to Alden and Muriel Root Coe, she was a 1969 graduate of Pittsfield High School.

Nancy married Michael T. Wechter on June 25, 1977.

Nancy enjoyed many things in life such as swimming and lifeguarding in her younger years, going to Ocean Beach with her family in the summers and listening to music. She even got to see her favorite band The Beatles in concert. Nancy could often be found working in her beautiful flower and vegetable gardens or snuggling with her beloved kitty cats.

Nancy was a devoted wife, a wonderful mother and a kind friend to many but it was her role as a grandmother that she prized the most. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy. She was very loved and will live on in our hearts forever.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Michael T. Wechter of Richmond. Son, Michael J. Wechter of Richmond. Daughter Stacie L. D’Aniello and husband John of Great Barrington. Two granddaughters, Sophia and Gianna. A brother, Ben Coe of Pittsfield and two sisters, Pamela Lussier and husband Ted of Pittsfield, Sallyann and husband Ron Rospo of Troy, NY.
