Obituary for Nancy M. Pratt

Nancy M. Pratt, 78, of Pittsfield died September 1, 2015 at Mt. Greylock Extended Care Facility. Born on May 29, 1937 in Springfield, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Loretta Dupuis Whitehouse. A longtime Hinsdale resident, she was educated in Springfield schools and was a 1955 graduate of Springfield Tech High School. Nancy was employed for many years as an activities coordinator at the former Ashmere Manor Nursing Home and the former Center for Optimum Care. She was a member of the Dalton United Methodist Church and had served on the school committee for the Central Berkshire Regional School District at one time. She enjoyed draft horses and attending the Middlefield Fair. She also enjoyed bird watching and following the Boston Red Sox. She leaves her daughter; Darlene N. Book and her husband Keith of Pittsfield. Two sons; Ralph E. Pratt Jr. of Vermont and Theodore "Ted" Pratt and his wife Deborah of Hinsdale. A brother; Donald Whitehouse of Springfield as well as several grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons; Andrew D. Pratt and Danny R. Pratt.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours for Nancy M. Pratt who died September 1, 2015 will be held Friday from 5 to 7 PM at the DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME 890 Main Street, Dalton. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in memory of Nancy may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with final expenses
