Obituary for Nancy Gorham Blubaugh

Nancy (Gorham) Blubaugh, 108, of Kindred Assisted Living at
Laurel Lake in Lee, formerly of Harryel St. in Pittsfield and
Metuchen, NJ, passed away on December 10, 2015 at the
Berkshire Medical Center. Nancy, daughter of the late Frederic Poole and Emma Lapham Gorham, was born November 13, 1907, in Providence, R I. She was educated in the Providence school system and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Skidmore College in 1930 and a Master's degree from Brown University in 1932. While attending Brown she met her future husband, Louis Blubaugh, to whom she was married for 64 years until his passing in 1999. She is predeceased by a daughter, Patricia B Richardson, of St Albans, VT, and leaves a son, John Blubaugh and his wife Diane of Norwood, PA; a daughter Joan Robinson and her husband Scott, of Lenox, MA: A son-in-law James Richardson of St. Albans, VT and a daughter, Gail Cowan of San Diego, CA; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. During her long life she enjoyed good health J sewing J reading J crossword puzzling J quilting and baking cookies. She is known to her family as the "Cookie Master."

Funeral Notice: Funeral services and burial for Nancy G. Blubaugh who died December 10, 2015 will be private. There are no calling hours. The DERY FUNERAL HOME is handling arrangements.
