Obituary for Nancy Louise Fournier

Nancy Louise Fournier, 55 formerly of 208 South Central Street in Plainfield, passed away February 28, 2018 at Hillcrest Commons Nursing Facility.

She was born May 31, 1962 to Karen Wells Fournier and the late Rodolph A. Fournier, Jr.

A graduate of Mohawk Regional High School and Westfield State College, Nancy went on to work as a Director of Christian Education in Ohio and Virginia, and as Special Education teacher in Virginia and North Adams.

Nancy loved music, and wrote beautiful religious songs. Starting at a young age, Nancy always nurtured her friendships. She was very compassionate, even while in the nursing home herself. She had strong religious beliefs.

She leaves behind her mother, Karen Fournier of Plainfield; two brothers, Peter R. Fournier, his wife Lisa Horn of Cheshire and their sons Benjamin and Noah, and Gary R. Fournier his wife Jean Yobst of Plainfield and step-daughter Kaylee.


FUNERAL NOTICE: There will be a celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Nancy’s name to the American Cancer Society, in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
