Obituary for Michael "Mike" J. Dufur
Michael “Mike” J. Dufur, 58, of Pittsfield, passed away November 16, 2022 after a long battle with cancer.
He was born in Pittsfield on December 3, 1963 to Carl W. Dufur, Sr., and Patricia L. Brewster Dufur. He attended Mt. Greylock Regional High School and Taconic High School.
He was a carpenter and a drywaller. He loved skiing and was on Taconic’s ski team. He was a long time Patriots fan.
Michael leaves behind his daughter, Katie-Ann Doucette and fiancé Sergio; son, Adam Doucette and wife Danielle. His sister, Deborah Dufur Quagliano and husband Keith, with whom he resided. Brothers, Carl W. Dufur, Jr., and wife Debra, David J. Dufur and fiancée Sandy, and Donald D. Dufur. He was predeceased by a brother Robert J. Dufur. He also leaves several nieces and nephews whom he adored and a large family of aunts, uncles and cousins. He also leaves his five grandchildren, Sofia and twins Sergio and Charlotte, and Lucas and Parker.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A Memorial service for Mr. Dufur will be held, Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield. Burial will follow at Pittsfield Cemetery. Calling hours will precede the service from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
