Obituary for Michael S. Kickery

Michael Stephen Kickery, 63, of 53 Westminster Street, Apt. # 1, Pittsfield, Ma. died Friday, February 13, 2015 at Hillcrest Commons where he has resided for the past four weeks. Born on February 15, 1951 in Pittsfield a son of the late William and Martha Noyes Kickery. He attended schools in Lee and was a 1971 graduate of Lee High School. He was a US Air Force Vietnam War Veteran. Michael was last employed as a cashier for Price Chopper in Pittsfield for two years and prior to that he had been employed at Big Y Supermarket for 16 years in various departments. He was a communicant of Saint Joseph's Church and enjoyed fishing and watching wrestling on television. He is survived by his wife the former Tina M. Danford whom he married on July 19, 1991 at Saint Stephen's Episcopal Church. Three daughters, Kerry Kickery of North Adams, Angela Dowd and her husband Daniel of Pittsfield and Rebecca Kickery of Pittsfield. A brother, William Kickery, Jr. and his wife Cheryl of Lenoxdale. Seven grandchildren, Nathan McMillian, Joseph, Devin, Anthony and Cameron Kickery, Stephen Dowd and Jaden Bethea. One great grandson, Aedyn Kiley. Mother in law, Donna Mack and Step father in law, Alvah "Butch" Mack both of Pittsfield. He was predeceased by a son, Michael S. Kickery, Jr. and by a grandson, Austin Peterson.

Funeral Notice: At Mr. Kickery's request there will be no services or calling hours. Memorials in his memory may be made to Hospice Care in the Berkshires in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, Ma. 01201 which has been entrusted with the arrangements.
