Obituary for Maureen F. Chadbourne

Maureen Frances Chadbourne 69, of Dalton, Ma. died Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 28, 1945 in Pittsfield a daughter of the late Francis and Patricia Londergan Marcella. She attended schools in Dalton and was a graduate of Wahconah Regional High School. She was a 1977 graduate of Saint Luke's School of Nursing and a 1985 graduate of the Berkshire Community College Nursing Program. Mrs. Chadbourne a registered nurse had worked at the former Hillcrest Hospital in Pittsfield for many years until its closing. She was a communicant of Saint Agnes Church, a member of the Sons of Italy ITAM Lodge #564 of Pittsfield; she enjoyed fishing, cake decorating, pottery and cooking. Most of all she enjoyed and loved her family and her camp in Maine.
She is survived by her beloved husband, James F. Chadbourne Sr. whom she married February 12, 1966 at Saint Agnes Church. A son, James F. Chadbourne, Jr. of Orland, Maine. Two daughters, Robin A. Emery and her husband Clayton of Prospect, Maine and Dawn M. Fernandez of Dedham, Maine. Six grandchildren, Joshua MacConnach, Jessica Davis and her husband Kevin, Joseph and Jason Fernandez, Alexander and Abigail Chadbourne. A great grandson, Carter James Chadbourne. Her special sister, Karen Grant of Lynn, Ma. and her Godfather, Anthony Marcella and his wife Saundra of Dalton.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. from the DERY-FOLEYFUNERAL HOME, 890 East Main St. Dalton, Ma. followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Agnes Church, celebrated by the Rev. Christopher Malatesta, pastor. The family will receive relatives at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. The family suggests that those who wish may make memorial contributions in lieu of flowers to Hospice Care in the Berkshires in care of the funeral home.
