Matthew S. Kruzel,94, of 108 Wells Rd Cheshire died Saturday June 21,2008. Born in Florida, Ma. March 1,1914 son the late Matthew and Helena Meczywor Kruzel. He attended schools in Adams. A carpenter by trade he had worked at General Electric for 10 years, Arnold Print Works in Adams , Melleca Const. and for himself. He was a communicant of St Mary of the Assumption in Cheshire and avid Red Sox fan, he enjoyed building and doing finish work on tables he built his own and built his children's homes, and he loved cooking for his family. His wife the late Helen T. Stec Kruzel whom he married Nov. 21, 1936 died Aug. 21, 2005. He is survived by a daughter Nancy Chaput of Cheshire and her companion Dennis Clark, a son Robert P. Kruzel his wife Cheryl of Cheshire and three sisters Monica Cyrulik, Mildred Matuszak and Bina Nazzewski all of Adams. His grandchildren that he thought the world of Jeffrey Chaput, Matthew Chaput, Jessica Kruzel, Samantha Chaput and Cameron Kruzel , his great grandchildren Connor, Chandler and Abby Chaput, his granddaughters-in-law Barbara Chaput and Sheryl Chaput. He was Pre-deceased by his son-in-law Robert Chaput and a brother Frank Kruzel and sister Blanche Nazzewski.

Funeral Notice: Funeral services for Matthew S. Kruzel,94, who died Saturday June 21, 2008 will be held Wednesday June 25 9:15am from DERY FUNERAL HOME- CHESHIRE with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10am at St. Mary of the Assumption Church celebrated by Rev. David Raymond Pastor. Burial will follow in Cheshire Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday at the funeral home from 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Mary of the Assumption Church in care of the Funeral Home.
