Matthew Christopher Demastrie, 30, of 48 Clarendon Street, Pittsfield, died unexpectedly on Friday, October 7, 2016.
Born in Pittsfield on December 17, 1985, the son of Christopher D. and Deborah Doyle Demastrie, he was educated in local schools.
Mr. Demastrie was a stone cutter for Masonry Supply Store in Littleton, Mass. He had
previously been employed by South Pond Condominiums as a landscaper.
Matthew was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, and his dog, Marley.
Besides his parents of Pittsfield, he is survived by his paternal grandmother, Clara Demastrie of
Pittsfield; his maternal grandparents, David Doyle and Elaine Doyle, of Pittsfield; his girlfriend, Brittany
Hodgdon; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Matthew was pre-deceased by his paternal grandfather, Edward Demastrie.

FUNERAL NOTICE:
Funeral services for Matthew Christopher Demastrie were private. Burial is in St. Joseph's
Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society in care
of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
