Obituary for Maryann O'Keefe
Maryann O’Keefe, 70, a life long resident of Pittsfield, passed away Thursday, September 8th surrounded by loving members of her immediate family, at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, MA.
Maryann was a dedicated hairdresser whose clients became true friends over the years. She enjoyed sitting on the balcony at her favorite locations in Lake George, NY and Wildwood, NJ. She enjoyed early morning coffee on her deck with her long time husband as well as motorcycle rides and a very eclectic taste in music.
Her most cherished moments were with those who called her Amma. Watching movies dancing and playing with her five grandkids was her true mark on a life now passed.
She was the daughter of Stephen and Venera Speranzo. She is survived by her five beautiful granddaughters. Her husband Tim O’Keefe Sr. and their two children: son, Tim O’Keefe Jr. and his fiancé Daralyn Klemansky and daughter Lacie Mackey and her husband Caleb Mackey. Her brother, James Speranzo and his wife Bonnie. Her very best friend as well as cousin Joanne LaRochelle of Pittsfield, and many other family members and friends.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be held, MONDAY, September 12, 2022 at 12 p.m. at DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield. Calling hours will precede the service from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her name to St Joseph's Church in care of the funeral home.
