Obituary for Mary S. Tonoli
MARY S. TONOLI, 94, of BerkshireTown Apartments, died Sunday evening at Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility.Born in Sondrino, Italy, August 30, 1912, the daughter of Columbo and Marie
Alberado Sondrini, she attended Cheshire schools.
Mrs. Tonoli was employed as a housekeeper at the former St. Luke's Hospital
and Berkshire Medical Center. She retired in 1977.She enjoyed cooking, bingo, and her family.
Her husband, Angelo Tonoli, whom she married August 3, 1929, died in 1958.
Mrs. Tonoli is survived by five daughters, Gloria Mazza, Sylvia Tonoli, Norma
Troiano, Bruna Tinney, and Angela Roraback, all of Pittsfield; two sisters, Edith
DiOrio and Lena Rosier, both of Pittsfield; 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren
and nine great great grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for MARY S. TONOLI, who died Sunday, August 19, 2007 were
private. Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery. There were no calling
hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Tonoli may be made to
Hospice Care in The Berkshires in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford
Street, Pittsfield.
Mrs. Tonoli is also survived by her sons-in-law, John Mazza, Joe Troiano,
Don Tinney, and Richard Roraback, and her 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and nine great great grandchildren all of whom she adored.
