Obituary for Mary Terese Fitzsimmons Surnier

Mary Terese Fitzsimmons Suriner, 81, of 20 Main Street, Hinsdale MA, formerly of Dalton MA and Pittsfield MA, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, August 17, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, MA surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Pittsfield, MA, December 17, 1931, the daughter of Edward Fitzsimmons and Ethel Van Deusen Fitzsimmons. She attended Pittsfield schools and was a 1950 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
She was a loving homemaker and also worked at General Electric Company, England Brothers Department Store, Dalton Nursing Home and the First Agricultural Bank. She was a faithful communicant and volunteer at St. Agnes Church in Dalton.
Her greatest enjoyment was her family. She was predeceased by her loving husband William in 2010 and her brother Edward Fitzsimmons in 1994. She is survived by three sons, Stephen E. Suriner and his wife Christy of Hinsdale, Craig A. Suriner of Hinsdale, and Brian W. Suriner and his wife, Elizabeth, of Glastonbury, CT. Mary adored her grandchildren, Brett Suriner, William Suriner, Joseph Suriner, Kristle Suriner Olds, Elizabeth Suriner and her two great-grandchildren, Rachel and Alexis Olds. Mrs. Suriner is also survived by her brother Robert Fitzsimmons and sister in-law Jean McMahon Fitzsimmons of Pittsfield.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Mary Terese Suriner will be held Monday, August 26 at 10 AM St. Agnes Church Dalton MA, celebrated by Rev. Christopher A. Malatesta, Pastor. Burial will be in Ashuelot Cemetery Dalton, MA. Calling hours will be held Sunday August 25 from 3 to 6 PM at the DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME 890 East Main Street Dalton, MA. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Suriner may be made to St. Agnes Academy or to the Hinsdale Volunteer Ambulance Service in care of the DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, 890 East Main Street, Dalton.
