Obituary for Mary A. Pierce

Mary A. Pierce, 86, formerly of Pinehurst Avenue died Thursday, June 25, 2015 in Jackson, NJ where she was residing to be with her daughter. Born on August 15, 1928 in Pittsfield, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Campion Laughran. A longtime resident of Pittsfield, she was educated in Pittsfield schools and was a 1946 graduate of St. Joseph Central High School. She married her husband, the late Paul J. Pierce Sr. on December 14, 1946. He died on February 26, 1993. A homemaker, she had worked at one time at the former England Brother's Department Store and at Sears. She enjoyed being with her family. Her greatest joy was being with her grandchildren and attending their school and sports events. She leaves a daughter; Patricia A. Kampmeier and her husband Juergen of Lakewood, NJ. Three sons; Paul J. Pierce Jr. and his wife Rose Ellen of Pittsfield, David W. Pierce of Pittsfield and John C. Pierce and his companion Lisa of Pittsfield. She also leaves a brother; William Laughran of Pittsfield. Twelve grandchildren; Paul W. Pierce, Jennifer Austin, Giuliano Pierce, Danielle Pierce, Kathryn Pierce, Jacquelyn Pierce, D. Clayton Pierce, John J. Pierce, Scott P. Pierce, Jason Kampmeier, Sean Kampmeier and Laurie Kampmeier and 10 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother; the late Donald Laughran.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Mary A. Pierce who died June 25, 2015 will be held Tuesday at 1:00 PM at the DERY FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations in memory of Mary may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in care of the Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, MA 012
