Obituary for Mary "Jean" Biggart

Mary “Jean” Biggart, 96, of Dalton, passed away April 18, 2021 at Berkshire Medical Center.
She was born in Dalton on March 26, 1925 to Joseph and Madeline Cormier.
She attended Hinsdale, MA schools. She married William H. Biggart, Jr. on June 15, 1949. He predeceased her on November 5, 2004.
Mrs. Biggart was employed by General Electric in the Regulators and Transportation Department for 20 years, retiring in 1989.
A communicant of St. Agnes Church, she was a Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed flower gardening, family get togethers and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna L. DuCharme and her husband Robert of Pittsfield; four grandchildren, Scott and wife Karen DuCharme, Jason DuCharme and wife Karen Rapp, Tammy Jo Saunders, and Shannon Biggart. Seven great-grandchildren, Jackson, Addison, Kaitlyn, Joshua, Tanner, Shauna and Sophia. As well as two great-great-grandchildren, Isabelle and Gianna, and three nieces and one nephew.
She was predeceased by her two sons, William H. Biggart, III., and David J. Biggart; a grandson, David J. Biggart, Jr., and three brothers, Raymond, Clarence, and Fred Cormier.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Services will be private with burial in Ashuelot Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Dalton Fire Department or to St. Agnes Church in care of Dery-Foley Funeral Home, 890 E. Main St, Dalton, MA 01226.
