Obituary for Mary B. Cooke

MARY BARBARA COOKE, 80, of 575 Pomeroy Avenue, Pittsfield, died Wednesday morning at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Pittsfield, January 27, 1926, the daughter of Isadore and Filomena
Pro Lisi, she was educated in Pittsfield schools and was a 1944 graduate of Pittsfield
High School.Mrs. Cooke had been employed by General Electric Company for 18 years. Prior
to G.E., she had worked at the former Pocketbook Shop which was located on Columbus
Avenue. She had been bookkeeper for her husband's law firm for a few years. During
the 1990s, she had worked at the Lerner Shop in the Berkshire Mall.She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, a member of the Women's Club of Pittsfield, and a member of the ITAM Lodge. She enjoyed crocheting,
sewing, crossword puzzles, and going to casinos. She most enjoyed being with her family and friends.She leaves her husband, Atty. W. Stanley Cooke, whom she married September 29, 1962, in Pittsfield. Besides her husband, Mrs. Cooke is survived by a daughter, Susan M. Cooke-
Antonacci of Sterling, Virginia; a brother, Emilio Lisi of the state of Florida; a sister,
Anna Roraback of Pittsfield; and two grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for MARY BARBARA COOKE, who died Wednesday, June 21,
will be Saturday, June 24, at 8:15 a.m., from DERY FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy
of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church celebrated by
Rev. Geoffrey J. Deeker, C.S.S., Pastor. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery
in Lenox. Calling hours will be Friday, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the Funeral Home.
Mrs. Cook leaves her two grandchildren, Kathleen Antonacci and Joseph Antonacci. She was pre-deceased by two brothers and a sister.
