Obituary for Mary N. Broderick

MARY NORA BRODERICK, 84, formerly of Velma Avenue, and later of Melbourne Place, died Wednesday, June 18, at Providence Care Center of Lenox. Born in Pittsfield, December 7, 1923, the daughter of William J. and Helena
V. Prendergast Broderick, she was a 1941 graduate of Pittsfield High School. She
attended the College of St. Rose in Albany, New York, and was a graduate of Russell Sage College in Troy, New York.
Miss Broderick was employed by General Electric Company as Manager of
Insurance Plan Accounting from where she retired in 1984 with 4l years service.
She was a communicant of St. Teresa Church and a member of its Rosary
Sodality. She was a member of the Berkshire Medical Center Hospital Auxiliary where
she volunteered each week in the Gift Shop, and volunteered each week, as well, for the
Berkshire County Red Cross. She was also a member of the Pittsfield Senior Center and the Berkshire Hills Country Club.
Miss Broderick is survived by her brother, William Broderick of Pittsfield. She
also leaves her nieces and nephews, William M. Broderick; Thomas J. & Ann Broderick
and their daughter, Katherine; Raymond F. and Denise Broderick and their children,
Dyllan and Sadie; niece Mary K. Broderick and her partner, Kathryn; Ann & Thomas
Reed and their son, Harry; Sheila & William J. Dean, III., and their children, Cailee,
Ryan, and Brody; and John P. Broderick.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for MARY NORA BRODERICK who died Wednesday, June 18,
will be Monday, June 23, at 10::l5 a.m., from DERY FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy
of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., at St. Teresa Church, celebrated by Rev. Mark Mengel,
S.S.C., Pastor. Burial will follow in St. Ann's Cemetery in Lenox. Calling hours will be
Sunday, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in
memory of Miss Broderick may be made to the charity of one's choice.
