Obituary for Mark W. Fontaine

MARK WILLIAM FONTAINE, 34, of 18 Dartmouth Street, Pittsfield, died
Tuesday morning as a result of injuries suffered in a motor vehicle accident in
Bernardston, Massachusetts
Born in Ware, Massachusetts, June 6, 1972, a son of Ethel Clapp Fontaine of
Hadley, and the late Roger Fontaine, he attended schools in Ware. Mr. Fontaine had been employed as a mechanic by Wetherell's Garage in Hinsdale for three months. Previously, he was a self-employed painter, and had also worked for Sayers Auto Wrecking.He enjoyed fishing, four-wheeling, playing golf, and crafting.
Mr. Fontaine is survived by his wife, the former Alisa Daley, whom he married
February 5, 1994. Besides his wife and his mother, he is survived by three sons, Shawn Fontaine, Justin Fontaine, and Timothy Fontaine, all of Pittsfield; two brothers, Gary Fontaine of
Westfield and Arthur Fontaine of Pittsfield; three sisters, Sandy Smallwood of Holyoke,
Linda Bassette of the state of New York, and Donna Blackner of Ware.

FUNERL NOTICE:Funeral services for MARK WILLIAM FONTAINE, who died Tuesday, August
8, will be held Friday, August 11, at 10:00 a.m., at DERY FUNERAL HOME, with Rev.
William D. Furey, Pastor of Berkshire Union Chapel, officiating. Calling hours will
precede beginning at 9:00 a.m.. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr.
Fontaine may be made to the Boys and Girls Club in care of the Funeral Home, 54
Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
Mr. Fontaine also leaves eighteen nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by
two brothers, Robert Fontaine and Timothy Fontaine.
