Obituary for Mark James Cole

Mark James Cole, 70 of Adams, MA passed away on Sunday November 13, 2022 at Berkshire Medical Center North. Born in Pittsfield, MA on March 17, 1952, to Samuel J. & Cora Bell Godfrey Cole.

Mark was a long time welder, fabricator, quality control technician and fixer of many things working for Beloit Jones, GL&V, Walmart and lastly Lenco Armored Vehicle.

Mark and his wife Julie were married on July 23, 2016. While their life time together may have been short Mark was very happy and enjoyed his life with her and her daughter Anna. They enjoyed day trips to New Hampshire, grilling on their deck, a trip to the Green Monster to watch his favorite baseball team play, traveling to see his sister Linda “Red” Faller in Illinois and her family, social hour with Marie “Mumy” and Melissa Grande, and Rick St. Germain. Mark was a lover of bluegrass and country music. Guitars and banjos were his favorite, greatly appreciating the technique but most of all what the music conveyed. He enjoyed time with his children, Neesha Dolan, Corey & Tricia Carr-Cole, Amy & Anna Palazzo but most of all his grandchildren Olivia Carr-Cole, Callan & Kearney Dolan.

In addition to his immediate family Mark leaves behind two sisters, Linda “Red” Faller and her family from Illinois and Janice Winchell and her family of Pittsfield, along with his nieces and nephews, Amber, Megan, Laura, Colleen, Arron and Eddie.

The family would like to thank the staff at Walmart North Adams, North Adams Police and Ambulance Department and the staff at Berkshire Medical Center North.

As Mark would always sign off with, Tí amo.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours will be Wednesday November 23rd from 4-6 pm at Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, MA with a service to follow at 6pm celebrated by Rev. William Furey. Mark would love to see everyone in their favorite Red Sox or Patriots comfortable gear. In lieu if flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Shiner’s Hospital in care of the funeral home.
