Obituary for Marjorie E. Mcmullen

MARJORIE ELAINE McMULLEN, 78, of 120 Lyman Street, Pittsfield, died Friday morning at Providence Care Center of Lenox.
Born in Dalton, September 4, 1928, the daughter of Henry J. Loehr, Sr., and Clara
White Loehr, she was a graduate of Pittsfield High School.Mrs. McMullen was a homemaker.
She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and a member of its Rosary Society. She enjoyed reading, jigsaw puzzles, and playing cards.
Her husband, Alfred M. McMullen, died October 25, 1980. Mrs. McMullen is survived by three sons, Peter T. McMullen of Accokeek,
Maryland, Paul R. McMullen of Gardner, Massachusetts, and Michael F. McMullen
of Pittsfield; three daughters, Patricia A. Merchant of Merrimack, New Hampshire,
Kathleen M. McMullen of Pittsfield, and Claire A. McMullen of Nashua, New
Hampshire; a brother, Henry J. Loehr, Jr., of Pittsfield; and two grandchildren. Another
son, Kevin M. McMullen, died July 4, l996.


FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for MARJORIE ELAINE McMULLEN, who died Friday,
September 15, will be Monday, September 18, at 9:15 a.m., from DERY FUNERAL
HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., at Sacred Heart Church
celebrated by Rev. James K. Joyce, Pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Sunday, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the Funeral Home. In lieu of
flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. McMullen may be made to the Berkshire
Chapter of the American Red Cross or to Sacred Heart Church in care of the Funeral
Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
Mrs. McMullen also leaves a son-in-law, James Merchant; three daughters-in-law,
Pamela (Mrs. Michael) McMullen, Suk, (Mrs. Peter) McMullen,and Cynthia Olmstead (widow of Kevin), her two grandchildren, Scott Merchant and
Christine Merchant, and many nieces and nephews.
